Frequently Asked Questions

Q: I bought and received a Meridian License Key, but it doesn't work. What's wrong?
A: The License Key, as well as the Name and Email address used when purchasing the key must be entered exactly. Please refer back to your License Key Email (the subject is "Thanks for your purchase"), and copy and paste each item into the "Enter License Key" window. Please contact us at support@recurringdream.com if you are still having troubles.

Q: How does Meridian handle Daylight Saving Time (DST)?
A: Merdian's clocks will automatically adjust twice each year if they are set to a time zone that changes with DST.
Alarms are stored as an absolute offset to GMT (the world's central time) so they may shift by one hour when DST changes. Depending on the alarm's time zone and your local time zone, you may need to change the alarm time after the DST change.

Q: How do I remove Meridian and restore the system clock?
A:
1) Quit Meridian - from Meridian's clock menu, go to Meridian->Quit
2) Throw away the Meridian application, there are no other components.
3) To restore the system clock, open the System Preferences, select the Date & Time panel, on the Clock tab select "Show the date and time"
4) (Optional) If you selected the option to start Meridian at login, open the System Preferences, select the Accounts panel, on the Startup Items tab delete Meridian.

Q: Why does Meridian ask for my Password every time the computer wakes up?
A: You have Meridian on a part of your disk protected by FileVault (somewhere within your home folder). Quit Meridian, move it to your main Applications folder, and restart Meridian. After restart, it may ask you for your password one more time.
